Magnesium Alloy Anode

Magnesium alloy sacrificial anodes are used for metal facilities operating in media such as soil, freshwater, and seawater as anodes to protect cast and extruded magnesium anodes of trapezoidal, D-shaped, and rod-shaped (cylindrical, rectangular rod) designs. The chemical composition, electrochemical performance, and surface quality of the steel core meet national standards.

Magnesium Anode- by casting methods

High-potential magnesium anode can be utilized to protect underground metal structures in soil with inconsistent resistivity. It generates a higher driving voltage compared to regular anodes. MACH has developed efficient magnesium anodes using high-purity magnesium, capable of generating an open-circuit potential of -1.77 to -1.82V (relative to a saturated CuSO4 reference electrode). The open-circuit potential produced per pound is 20-30% higher than that of typical magnesium anodes. This makes it the optimal choice for cathodic protection projects in high-resistivity soil environments.

Magnesium Anode- by extrusion methods

​Extruded magnesium anodes are used in water heaters, water tanks and underground water storage tanks, which can save household and industrial water heaters and water storage tanks, high-resistance electrolyte environments, natural gas casings, offshore structures and other applications. The cost is low, it achieves good results and has the advantage of easy installation. Magnesium alloy extrusion products include: pipes, profiles, wires, and plates, which are used in building doors and windows, aircraft parts, auto parts, sports equipment, power tools, material handling equipment, etc.
